Tralee Golf Club
Tralee Golf Club was founded in 1896, but it was firmly put on the world stage after Arnold Palmer’s redesign in 1984 that made the championship course 18 inspiring holes. That only happened after the club bought land from Barrow in 1980, allowing for the impressive expansion. All of this work and forethought has made Tralee a must-have on any golf trip to Southwest Ireland.
Standing out in the crowd
Tralee Golf Club is a little younger than some of it’s neighbours, but it’s a testament to its creator, Arnold Palmer, that it quickly established itself alongside Lahinch, Ballybunion and Waterville as a must-play on any Southwest Ireland itinerary. Simply spectacular, Tralee has several holes that will take your breath away and, like the aforementioned, regularly features in many world Top 50 lists.
