The European Club

Pat Ruddy might not be a household name like Arnold Palmer or Jack Nicklaus, but when you lay your eyes on his masterpiece at The European Club, you’ll realize he is the definition of a diamond in the rough. On your trip to Eastern Ireland, Ruddy’s work makes this golf destination a must-play. Here’s a closer look at why The European Club stands out:

Training ground of Open champions

In our opinion, the course designer and owner Pat Ruddy has created a masterpiece here. His design skills were met with global approval at the Irish Open at Ballyliffin, however, we think it’s safe to say The European Club is Pat’s spiritual (and physical) home. A  simply epic golf course that is hugely challenging from the tips. Padraig Harrington prepared extensively here prior to his two Open Championship victories.
