Rosapenna, Old Tom Morris Links
Originally laid out by Old Tom Morris in 1893 after a visit to Donegal, this course forms the historic backbone of the Rosapenna resort. Over time, it has been enhanced by greats like Harry Vardon and James Braid, with more recent refinements by Pat Ruddy. The course plays across classic linksland with wide fairways and subtle green complexes, making it both playable and engaging. While slightly more forgiving than its sister courses, it still delivers plenty of challenge with shifting winds off Sheephaven Bay.
An inspiration
Tom Morris described Rosapenna’s natural terrain as “ideal” for golf and was inspired by its dramatic sand dunes to create one of his few courses in Ireland.
