Muirfield

The name Muirfield is one that any true golfers knows as the members of this club wrote the original 13 rules to the game of golf in 1744, this icon has hosted the Open Championship 15 times and countless other championships including the Ryder Cup. The course is known for its famous waterside routing that has two circuits that play in oppositve direction making the wind a constant adjustments for all players. This is golf royalty, and any golfer visiting Scotland should try to get this course onto their itinerary.

Home to the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, Muirfield can be tracked back to 1744 when golf was played  on Leith Links and later at Musselburgh before moving to Muirfield in 1891. Today, it is one of the most popular destinations for golfers traveling to Scotland.
