Day 2: Formby
According to the course’s website, Formby Golf Club is “nestled amongst the finest selection of courses found on any coast around the world, Formby is often spoken of as ‘The Hidden Gem.’ The impressive clubhouse at Formby Golf Club, voted 12th most iconic clubhouse in the world, provides members and visitors with a superb choice of bars and dining options, championship snooker tables, fantastic en-suite Dormy accommodation and history at every turn.”
Day 3: Hillside
According to the club’s website, “little evidence on the formation of Hillside Golf Club exists, but it is believed that at some point between 1911 and 1913 a decision was made to form a Golf Club on the land of Hill Side farm.” It has simply become one of the favorite stops on any Liverpool itinerary.
Day 4: Royal Lytham & St. Anne's
Seve Ballesteros conquered this majestic course twice to win the Claret Jug in 1979 and 1988, while the likes of Bobby Jones, Ernie Els, David Duval, Tom Lehman, Gary Player and Tony Jacklin are among the 11 champions that have won the Open title at Royal Lytham & St. Annes. In addition to the Open, the course has also hosted two Ryder Cups in addition to a number of other major championships.
Day 5: Royal Birkdale
Birkdale was last in the major spotlight in 2017 and is slated to host the 2026 Open Championship — making it the perfect time to get a round in before the tournament.
Day 6: Royal Liverpool
It’s rare that you get the chance to play where Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy have both won Open Championships — but then again, Royal Liverpool is unlike most other courses around the world.
