Open Championship venues

At Lyons Links we take pride in having you tee off where the world’s best tee it up, and few courses are more prestigious than the Open rota, including Royal Portrush, The Old Course at St. Andrews, Turnberry, Royal Troon, Prestwick, Royal Lytham and St. Anne’s, Royal Liverpool and Royal Birkdale. We just so happen to have packages that can land you at these epic venues.

East Lothian

If you have always wanted to experience Edinburgh, this is one way to mix both great golf and plenty of sightseeing into one trip. This sample itinerary features Archerfield, Gullane, North Berwick and Muirfield — quite the lineup for a five-day trip.

Eastern Ireland

The capital city of Dublin is situated in the heart of Ireland’s ancient east. The area is littered with exceptional links course and boasts Ireland’s only Ryder Cup venue on its doorstep. Stay at the K Club and enjoy the palatial digs or maybe stay in the heart of Dublin City in Ireland’s most iconic five-star hotel, The Shelbourne. Either way, there is an array of things to do close at hand and of course spectacular golf.

Liverpool

This is a trip meant for royalty — with Royal Lytham & St. Annes, Royal Birkdale and Royal Liverpool all on this sensational itinerary. With just five days, you’ll pack in plenty of championship golf, as well as time to do a bit of sightseeing.

Northern Ireland

While Royal County Down and Royal Portrush deservedly get all the kudos for a Northern Ireland golf trip, many of our golfing tourists are simply blown away by the beauty of Ardglass, Portstewart, and Castlerock. Any trip to this part of the world would not be complete without a trip to the Giants Causeway, while there is also an option to visit Bushmills distillery, The Titanic experience or various Game of Thrones locations.

Northwest ireland

Northwest Ireland has emerged from the shadow of the Southwest to offer a links golf trip to rival that of its closest neighbours. No visit to Ireland is complete without a visit to The Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast. Play County Sligo, Carne, Enniscrone, Donegal, Nairn and Portnoo and Rosapenna (St. Patrick’s Links) on a golfing trip that compares to anything the other Irish and UK regions have to offer.

Northwest ireland, Part II

One of our most popular itineraries brings you into Dublin and you’ll fly out of Dublin — but the seven days in between will take you to some of the best golf in Northwest Ireland. Some of the favorites along this route are Sandy Hills, St. Patrick’s Links, County Sligo and so many more.

Scottish Highlands

Looking for a shorter trip that is jam-packed full of fantastic golf and getting to take in all the Scottish Highlands has to offer? This five-day sample itinerary will take you to Royal Dornoch, Nairn and Cabot Highlands, giving you an experience that you won’t soon forget.

Southwest ireland

Southwest Ireland is considered by many as the No. 1 golfing destination on the planet — and it’s with good reason. Four links golf courses are regularly ranked in the world’s top 50, and there are  a couple of parkland courses to knock your socks off. Relax in luxury at Adare and spend a few nights in the bustling town of Killarney. The southwest has it all, scenery, craic, and, most of all, superb golf.

St. Andrews Classic

We are pretty sure this will get your attention: How would you like for the Old Course to be the final stop on a six-day journey in and around the Home of Golf? It’d feature some of the best courses that Scotland has to offer, including Dumbarnie and Kingsbarns.

Western Ireland

A Western Ireland golf tour is definitely the most authentic of Irish trips. World-class links backed up by an unforgettable cultural experience. No visit to Ireland is complete without a visit to The Wild Atlantic Way on the West Coast. Play County Sligo, Carne, Enniscrone, Connemara, Galway Bay and Lahinch on a golfing trip that compares to anything the other Irish regions have to offer.
